CARB Clean Truck Check requirements, testing frequency, and deadlines are established by the California Air Resources Board and are subject to change. Vehicle owners are responsible for verifying their own compliance status and deadlines in their CTC-VIS account.
Testing does not repair vehicles and does not guarantee a passing result. The CC40 automates testing for eligible OBD vehicles when the vehicle is ready and the device remains properly connected under an active service term; it does not repair emissions faults, pay CARB fees, renew registration, or correct inaccurate CTC-VIS information.
Noncompliance with the Clean Truck Check program can result in CARB enforcement action and California DMV registration holds, and may affect fleet operations and facility access. For official program information, consult the California Air Resources Board directly.
